I wasn’t sure how I was going to handle turning the corner. But, I can honestly say, it’s a piece of cake. I attribute that to a few constants in my life…plenty of prayers, sleep and exercise.
I didn’t see the inside of a gym until I turned 40. Both my son’s had graduated high school and my mom job was pretty much over as they saw it. I finally had time for me. I was a little nervous at first; not knowing how I was going to handle all that went along with fitness. I am happy to say I am in better shape than I was at 30. I am an avid runner and exercise is just a part of my day. It’s never too late to get started.
I firmly believe sleep is what keeps you looking younger and feeling energized. I have always maintained a strict sleep pattern. They call it beauty sleep for a reason.
Confidence surely does come with age. In my 30’s and early 40’s, I always worried about what people thought of me or that I should be at a certain point in my life. Today, I am in a good place. Getting older doesn’t mean you have to just get settled. I have never been one to settle, and I am not about to start now. Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. I refuse to let anyone tell me otherwise. In my opinion, nothing is sexier than wearing the confidence you’ve earned!
